Isn't this pretty dependent upon the specific cache architecture? Definitely nowhere near an expert here, but I thought that CPUs all had varying sizes / layers of caches, on top of additional spare implementations - i.e., victim caches, etc. How much portability does this one-sized tool have, or is the variation between CPUs not an issue?
