on: Make Something Wonderful – Steve Jobs in his own words
From the outside looking in, founder CEO’s like Steve Jobs and Elon Musk are enigmas. They are able to convince the most brilliant human beings to devote their lives to them. That’s their real talent. Their belief in their mission is so strong and their confidence is unshakable. I wonder what mix of nurture and nature produces human beings like this. Out of billions of people, a handful are born this way.

This is anecdotal evidence but I have never seen a person use Microsoft 365 suite of Apps in real life. It’s always Google web apps and Slack. Who is this mysterious Microsoft customer that has made them the 2nd most valuable company in the world?

OpenAI with 400 employees are breaking Google’s ankles on the court. What do you guys think? Is Google in trouble? Their entire business model is in jeopardy. If Google releases a oroduct as as good as ChatGPT 4, which is unlikely, they’ll
kill their revenue. If they don’t release it, they’ll gradually lose market share. They are in an unwinnable situation.

on: How Siri, Alexa and Google Assistant Lost the A.I. Race
I watched the “Introducing GPT-4” on the OpenAI YouTube channel (
https://youtu.be/TxkJMX0KyS0) and you see top of the line MacBook Pro’s and Apple Watches all over the place in their offices. I bet most of them have iPhones too.
The moral of the story is, all Apple care about is selling you hardware. It has made no dent in their business or brand that Siri is awful.

The problem with ChatGPT in Bing is, you can only write 2000 characters.

on: AI for developers and Google Workspace
Can't wait for Google to add ChatGPT-like features to Chrome and their suite of Web Apps so I can finally ditch Microsoft Edge with it's ChatGPT integration. The UI of Edge is god awful. It has the same issue as Explorer in Windows where Microsoft thinks showing you all UI buttons and other UI elements at once is a great idea. Microsoft can't make compelling consumer facing products to save their life.

on: Tim Cook bets on Apple’s mixed-reality headset to secure his legacy
The Apple Watch wasn’t quite ready for launch either. Apple didn’t know how to market it or what the hell to do with it. It took them a few generations to zone in on health and fitness and the rest is history.
The Apple VR headset has been in development for 7 years. They need to release it now and see how the world is using it and tweak it accordingly. It’s going to drastically improve the product.
