on: Valetudo: Open-source cloud replacement for vacuum robots
It’s unofficially supported. I have it set up, connected to home assistant and it works great. Only thing I’ve noticed that is missing is the carpet detection feature, so just make sure you have the carpet set in the Roborock app before you root it. Buttttt it’s a huge pain in the ass to root. You pretty much have to take apart the entire robot, thus voiding your warranty, to do it. There are some guides, but not many, online on how to do it. All in all, 100% worth it. But be careful because I’ve seen people break/loosen a wire when taking the robot apart making it a really expensive paperweight
Edit: I’m not sure about the auto empty. I just have the regular S7.

I was under the impression that Signal is open source and E2E, was I incorrect? If not, how is it a walled garden?

I ordered the pinephone when it was first announced. I think it’s a really good first step. The hardware is extremely lacking though. It’s not nearly powerful enough to make this a daily driver for me. Way too much lag and stuttering. Every couple months I will flash a new or updated distro and play around with it for a day or two, and the software side has definitely improved a lot in the last year. I’m hoping that the next generation comes with better, more usable hardware. Super excited to see the progress that comes for this product

on: I went to the office for the first time. I fucking hated it
Why should your preferences dictate what other people do? What makes your preference for having people in the office more important than their preference to want to work from home?

on: Ubiquiti Networks Breach
That’s actually not true anymore. After their latest update, my cloud key plus gen 2 requires me to sign on using their SSO. Not something you can remove anymore. Lots of people are (rightly) up in arms about this
That being said, I still love my Ubiquiti products
