I really used to be the biggest Netflix fan but their OC is really lacking. And they do very little OC action outside their cartoons.

Really glad I bought in early on Disney+ and they are building something so big at a cheaper price point.

Even before this report I was excited by the whole network, and really excited for their OC.

cryptofits | 6 years ago | on: Bjarne Stroustrup Answers C++ Questions

Well it's good that he answers C++ stuff, a bit like Walter Bright here (or wherever) answers questions related to D - but the more important question is this:

In the face of more competition, e. g. python, Rust, Go etc.., what is the future of/for C++?

cryptofits | 6 years ago | on: Meetup.com alternatives

tl;dr

1. cete - https://cete.io/ 2. emamo - https://emamo.com 3. kommunity - https://kommunity.com 4. eventy - https://eventy.io/ 5. "FreeCodeCamp is currently building an Open Source alternative to Meetup.com. They are looking for contributors, head to this Discord channel to get involved!" (In my opinion this article was made to feature this paragraph tbh)

Anyhow

I'm using meetup for a while

Been extremely useful (especially when i lived abroad. It's a great way to meet some new friends with similar hobbies.

cryptofits | 6 years ago | on: A new hardware implant shows how easy it may be to hide malicious chips

As the article mentions, there probably aren't a lot of instances of this, given that software exploits are often easier to implement. And once discovered, can be re-used hundreds of not millions of times very easily.

That said if someone is interested in a specific target or small set of targets, this is a really stealthy way of compromising a system. I would be shocked if every major international spy agency hasn't at least tried this.

Used luxury car is a quick way to lose money.

The spare parts are rare and expensive in most times

and lack of supply make you get stuck many times until the car get fixed

cryptofits | 6 years ago | on: Blockbuster Could Have Bought Netflix for $50M

If you will look hard enough, you can find FOMO in so many different things.

If you were lucky enough to purchase 100 shares of McDonald's when it was at $22.50 on its IPO date, you would have spent $2,250. Based on McDonald's closing stock price on October 28, 2018, the investment would be worth $12.89 million.

We can also talk about Bitcoin but I think you got my point

cryptofits | 6 years ago | on: Too Many Video Streaming Choices May Drive Users Back To Piracy

Good point

When there are too many options it's becoming too much of an hassle to actually choose something

Just think on yourself getting into a restaurant with a massive menu, choosing a dish will be hard

on the other hand, a pop up restaurant with 3 dishes will make the dinner much more fun for everyone (that's from my expirience at least)

cryptofits | 6 years ago | on: Google Fi Unlimited Plan

I used Google Fi last month when I traveled in Turkey-Russia

I was surprised by how good this service is and by how fast google support answered when I had some questions

They should open it to more countries and not only for U.S citizens
