It’s a fair point, I was felt like I was being teleported around as a kid. It wasn’t until I was driving myself until I started to realize how the different places of my childhood were connected in relation to each other. I would be driving down a street and go “oh, that’s where the Spring Training stadium is”

Facebook ads are among the most reasonable of ads. They appear like normal content and are easy to scroll past. You can even hide ads that aren’t relevant or that you don’t like seeing. You guys are crazy.

I do the same when I feel disillusioned with superficial beauty. Really pretentious, I know. Either way, it feels good to reduce people to blobs every once and a while. I sometimes get too distracted by looks, so being able to turn that off is nice.

My biggest problem with this article is that it doesn’t do anything to address built in tracking google has on many pages. Companies embed little snippets of google JavaScript so they can take advantage of analytics. As a result, google can track you whether you use their products directly or not.
