You can recognize the advantages of the system, and leverage them, while working to change the system. They could live like a monk and it would have far less an impact on the system as a whole then what they’re trying to do here.

That’s the one thing that will actually cost corporations money, so it’s the last thing they will address. The other things aren’t really issues to the corporate politicians, they’re just talking points.

I do the same when I feel disillusioned with superficial beauty. Really pretentious, I know. Either way, it feels good to reduce people to blobs every once and a while. I sometimes get too distracted by looks, so being able to turn that off is nice.

My biggest problem with this article is that it doesn’t do anything to address built in tracking google has on many pages. Companies embed little snippets of google JavaScript so they can take advantage of analytics. As a result, google can track you whether you use their products directly or not.
