>Regionalverkehr Köln (RVK) has become the largest operator of hydrogen fuel cell buses in Europe, with a fleet that reached 101 vehicles by late 2024 and is expected to grow to 160 by the end of 2025.

I mean, right from the second section of the article.

One has to think of the overhead.

Cutting and stacking(or picking up/delivered), the space to store it, having to carry it into the house, emptying your ashbox, having to actual start the fire, etc.

Always just saw their power tools as 'better' ryobi stuff. But with Ryobi's draw being cheapness, battery compatibility and unique tools.

However they're the defacto when it comes to pipe. Real quality heavy rigid stuff.

While the website seems very fluff, the concept of hand health can't be overstressed.

Keep care of your hands and wrists. If you feel pain or discomfort, stiffness etc figure out why and fix it. Whether it's keyboard/desk etc change. Or taking breaks and stretching.

Those suffering later stages of hand/wrist strain or wear... look into: wrist straps, wax baths, heated 'wax gloves'

Lot of talk about bicycle chains, not sure if they use o/x-ring chains. But here's a well put together video on chain lubrication.

There better stuff, sure. I use better stuff now but all the miles I got outta on dirtbike & bicycle chains as a kid. Handy to carry a little bottle in a toolkit as well.

Also excellent lube when working with aluminum(drilling, machining, etc).

I thought $200 for the Thinkpad Designer's was expensive. Then I saw the price of the Giannina.

I'm sure the locking mechanism and aesthetics are much better, and they're a pleasure to use. But something about a $10 thrift store moka pot works well. And no qualms about taking it on a camping trip, to use over a fire.

I find it's always the cables that go. Thus buying a set with a removable cable sent me from 6 months to 5 years with a pair of Shure se215's. There's many more options today, as (removable)wired IEM's seem to be abit of a growing niche.

dugditches | 4 years ago | on: Daylight saving time is 'not helpful' and has 'no upsides,' experts say

Working a midnight shift on a Saturday evening and going home an hour 'early' is quite pleasant.

Working a midnight shift on a Saturday evening and having to work an hour extra isn't.

The 'extra' hour feels nice this time of year. When the days are getting shorter and it's getting colder. And you know colder and darker days are ahead. While in the Spring you have Spring to look forwards too.

They often talk about the increase in accidents in the spring. But this time of year road conditions typically get worse. In terms of lack of daylight, more active wildlife and other small issues(first frost, wet roads, slippery leaves, Summer tires still on, etc).

I don't think too many Chinese factories are scraping in their ways on their mini mills or lathes.

And also lots of old machines that likely have lost their flaking and true trueness a while ago. Still being run by old operators that understand their limitations.

You can make accurate parts on an 'inaccurate' conventional machine.

How does this play without an actual joystick.

Was happy to see X-Wing etc come to Steam. But trying to play with a keyboard or controller felt awful.

I remember Rebel Assault 2 needing a joystick for a few flying missions(freighter in the tunnel(3), tie fighter in the canyon(7), speeder bike in the swamp(9?)). But the X-Wing/Tie Fighter games just needed one.
