The amount of detail and information thrown into the game and the manual.

Cutting and stacking(or picking up/delivered), the space to store it, having to carry it into the house, emptying your ashbox, having to actual start the fire, etc.

However they're the defacto when it comes to pipe. Real quality heavy rigid stuff.

Keep care of your hands and wrists. If you feel pain or discomfort, stiffness etc figure out why and fix it. Whether it's keyboard/desk etc change. Or taking breaks and stretching.
Those suffering later stages of hand/wrist strain or wear... look into: wrist straps, wax baths, heated 'wax gloves'

There better stuff, sure. I use better stuff now but all the miles I got outta on dirtbike & bicycle chains as a kid. Handy to carry a little bottle in a toolkit as well.
Also excellent lube when working with aluminum(drilling, machining, etc).

I'm sure the locking mechanism and aesthetics are much better, and they're a pleasure to use. But something about a $10 thrift store moka pot works well. And no qualms about taking it on a camping trip, to use over a fire.

Working a midnight shift on a Saturday evening and having to work an hour extra isn't.
The 'extra' hour feels nice this time of year. When the days are getting shorter and it's getting colder. And you know colder and darker days are ahead. While in the Spring you have Spring to look forwards too.
They often talk about the increase in accidents in the spring. But this time of year road conditions typically get worse. In terms of lack of daylight, more active wildlife and other small issues(first frost, wet roads, slippery leaves, Summer tires still on, etc).

And also lots of old machines that likely have lost their flaking and true trueness a while ago. Still being run by old operators that understand their limitations.
You can make accurate parts on an 'inaccurate' conventional machine.

Was happy to see X-Wing etc come to Steam. But trying to play with a keyboard or controller felt awful.
I remember Rebel Assault 2 needing a joystick for a few flying missions(freighter in the tunnel(3), tie fighter in the canyon(7), speeder bike in the swamp(9?)). But the X-Wing/Tie Fighter games just needed one.
