To be honest it’s quite refreshing if your company is full-on Microsoft anyway. It has some limitations and drawbacks you will miss compared to a modern container environment. For the usual in-house/b2b business app in dotnet it’s totally fine. With powershell DSC you can do declarative setup of Windows Server and IIS to limit the „click ops“.

we are using the nswag tolchain (https://github.com/RicoSuter/NSwag) for generating c# and typescript clients based on openapi specs generated by swashbuckle. you can tweak some details using config file too.
it works quite well and even has integration in msbuild to avoid manual cli steps.

This reminds me of writing „morning pages“. I first heard about it when stumbling upon „The Artists Way“ by Julia Cameron. To get rid of your mental baggage, you should write three pages every morning, she claims. The book is mainly about finding your (lost) inner creativity. But i have generally found that this routine helps to clear blockages in the mind and to become clearer.
