Hey all,

we are trying to understand how people actually deal with papers and the tools around them (Zotero, Mendeley, Connected Papers, etc.). Honestly, I get overwhelmed myself, so I could use your input.

We put together a short anonymous 5-min survey.

It’s part of a project we’re working on, but mainly I just want to hear real experiences from the community.

Thanks a lot

As a developer who regularly searches for remote tech roles, I started curating my own list of global, fully remote jobs that matched what I was looking for, and I've now decided to share it by creating a free newsletter.

Here’s what to expect:

- Tech-related jobs only (dev, AI, design, cybersec, data). - I personally handpick the jobs each week. - It’s free - No spam, and I won’t share your email with anyone.

I’d appreciate any feedback or suggestions!

I read the article but it seems to me to be just an angry person like those who rail against new things. I think 90% of real developers don't give a damn whether they're writing in C or Rust, and I don't think taking it out on the new stuff at all costs is helpful, it just makes you a grumpy conservative. Only time will give the answer as to who will survive, taking sides now is pure speculation.

Evolution is a good thing and shining syndrome is a bad thing but I think a healthy middle ground exists.

If I understood they were banned from google ads (merchand center) because they used 2 accounts to promote the same activity, but if this is against the policy I don't understand what is the point, I don't think that the size of the market is a discriminant in the policy

emanuele-em | 3 years ago | on: Ask HN: It seems I lost imagination, what to do?

It's not uncommon to experience changes in our ability to imagine things vividly as we grow older, especially if we don't actively practice using our imagination. However, if you feel like this loss of imagination is impacting your ability to learn and retain information, it might be worth exploring ways to improve your visualization skills.

One approach is to try to engage your senses as much as possible while reading or learning. For example, you might try to create mental images of what you're reading or use metaphors to help you understand abstract concepts. Another approach is to practice visualization exercises, such as trying to recall details from a recent event or imagining a specific scenario in detail.

It's also important to keep in mind that everyone's learning style is different, and some people may rely more on visual cues than others. If you find that you're struggling to learn or remember information, there may be other strategies that work better for you, such as taking notes or discussing the material with others.

Ultimately, if you're concerned about your ability to learn and retain information, it's worth speaking with a healthcare professional or educational specialist who can help you identify potential underlying causes and provide guidance on how to improve your learning and retention skills.

The Gui is basic for now but I added dark theme and other stupid tips.

Aiming to create a high-performance and reliable solution. Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome. A contribution would be seriously appreciated

if you do not want to or cannot contribute it would be very helpful to star the project, thank you very much
