Holy - I live 5 blocks from the C$64M home mentioned in the article and pay a rent of 1200$ every month.

That's pretty much Amazon's profits in 2Q 2016.

Ah their waitlist is hackable(or is it crackable?). They don't distinguish between "[email protected]" and "[email protected]" - so pretty much you can game the list and move to the top(I did something very similar when OnePlus 2 came out). So tapwithus mods - if you're listening - please fix this!

> We're seeing the same thing happening with Zenefits

Sorry to contradict, but that's plain wrong. Both the founders of Zenefits - Parker and Laks, know more about the insurance industry than your average broker. It was Parker's frustration with the amount of insurance paper work he had to deal with at his prior company, that led him to actually start Zenefits so that the pain can be eased for others.

All given, the fact that Google itself doesn't extensively use GC is kind of a red flag(I know quite a few Googlers from search infrastructure and none of them said their teams used GCE internally).

A solid guarantee with AWS is if AWS goes down, then a multitude of Amazon's services also will go down(ex Amazonian myself), so it gives me a belief that AWS's uptime is more important to Amazon itself that it is for external customers.
