Why is Apple so far behind the competitors regarding hardware? They still have huge notch on the top, but competitors have invisible cameras behind display (Xiaomi Mi Mix 4). No fingerprint behind the screen like competitors. No foldable body frame. The only thing Apple do better than competitors is CPUs / SoCs.

Americans got it right. Germans are, on the other hand, happy to work for a penny as you can see from the numbers below:

Average salary in San-Francisco for developers: $175.036

Average salary in Germany for developers: 61.176 Euro

That's 2.5 times more than in Germany. Please also note that many products like gas, electricity, laptops, smartphones are cheaper in the US, despite much higher salaries.

What is the best free alternative to Paint.NET for web developers? I tried GIMP some time ago, but it's interface looked very outdated / unpolished (at least on windows).

Vodafone is much worse than T-Mobile. In Germany they forge customer signatures and edit voice call records to create "fake" contracts and extract money from you. In my case I have to pay 120 Euro per month, even if the flat rate internet connection I have should only costs 80 Euro.

In big German cities, an average developer only makes 20% more than an average employee. In the last city where I lived in Germany:

Average salary for developers: 2950 euro per month after tax

Average across all jobs: 2450 euro per month after tax

Don't forget, unlike other jobs, developers have to waste their evenings, weekends and vacations to learn new technologies and you will not even be paid fair for that sacrifice.

But if someone need to type on your keyboard, then they will have problems and this workaround only works with Laptops. You cannot swap keys on a standalone Lenovo keyboard.

Good laptop, but with a few small drawbacks:

- No vapor chamber cooling, just regular heat pipes

- Monitor has thick borders

- Not 16:10

- Fn/Ctrl are swapped (all thinkpad laptops)

- Thinkpad's fingerprint readers never worked reliably to me

- I personally prefer USB-C network adapter instead of the bulky RJ45

- 720p camera, but most of laptops have a bad web cam...

- I assume it will have very average speakers. Usually Lenovo puts a "DOLBY SOUND" label on laptops with improved sound quality.
