I would be willing to pay for a gigabit connection if the prices were lower. In Japan and South Korea for instance, a consumer can get a gigabit connection for the equivalent of about 40USD. I currently pay more for a connection 1/20th the speed. If their telcos can do it, ours can too. However ours want us to pay more (much, much more) for gigabit, which is why there is the argument that Americans don't want to pay for gigabit. Yeah, charge a reasonable price and you'll have more demand for gigabit speeds.

"We have to ask why Google, with the far greater resources available to them, cannot respond better. Indeed much, if not all, of the process could be entirely automated."

The problem lies with the people on the Internet though. I doubt the whole thing could be automated because of the simple fact that there are people out there who, just to troll, would and probably already zip through plenty of legitimate public Google docs and click the "report abuse" link at the bottom of each page.

The result is most likely an overwhelming amount of reported "abuse" pages are most likely legitimate, which is why actual malware docs don't get dealt with in a timely manner. Its like when people prank call 911, which could lead to actual emergencies not being responded to immediately.

"We were subsequently approached by the person who ran the rm -r * " ... " It is also obvious that the people who installed the plugin, had different intentions than causing easy to detect damage on the system."

Seems like a case of a script kiddie who got the login information from someone else...probably doesn't know his way around Linux too well and thought it would be funny to run a few commands, then got scared once he realized what he'd done and fessed up

I just recently started using flux ~2 weeks ago and I've finally gotten used to the "temperature" change. First couple times it happened I was kinda thrown off, but I find it does actually help lessen strain on my eyes (since I sit in front of a computer screen all day)
