on: Right to Privacy a Fundamental Right, Says Indian Supreme Court
So, basically, this has opened the door to debate about the legality of collecting biometrics, but we still have to wait for official rulings to see if a stop is put to collecting that data under the Aadhar umbrella?

on: Right to Privacy a Fundamental Right, Says Indian Supreme Court
Can someone more well-versed in Indian law help me understand : Does this ruling prevent collection of biometrics or restrict it somehow under the Aadhar system?
Also, I recall the Indian Government was pushing Aadhar Pay - a biometric fingerprint scan based PoS payment / verification system (likely it is already deployed, I don't live there so I don't know). What happens to that now?

This is very cool. Long shot but any chance you can blog about the algorithm used? Or open source the same?

on: Pass: A standard Unix password manager
How does this compare to other popular solutions? Specifically, KeepassX / Keepass2 which are the most common solutions I've seen most Unix / Linux users employ. Can we objectively state which one is a better solution?

on: Distill: a modern machine learning journal
This is amazing! My burning question - as has been pointed out in the thread, the effort to produce a great article on Distill - generating interactive figures, doing front end web dev etc. would require a lot of time and resources on the part of the researchers. Is it possible to include within Distill an option to connect researchers to willing-and-able developers in those domains (for example, me) to help them get it done?
