Thanks a lot for taking time to write a valuable advice. I'd love to learn more from you and your experiences.

I've not yet decided what exactly I want to do but I love computers. I can spend hours and hours trying to do stuffs on it. I also love helping people. I'll tell you what I do mostly, whenever I have someone visit my home, I ask for their phone, connect to my W-Fi and update their apps from Play Store or App Store, enable/disable some settings for privacy.

I don't know but I love doing it. I'm thinking of starting a computer repair business and I'm damn sure I'll rock at it. But somewhere I'm lacking confidence.

I don't play video games but I spend a lot of time watching videos on YouTube, some educational and some just for fun.

In short, I'm just in this world. No idea what to do with my life. Please advice me more on this.

Instead of skipping the breakfast, try not to eat after sun-set. Trust me, you'll love the difference you'll see after a few months.

Disclaimer: I'm following this principle every single day from past 2 years.

ghantila | 11 years ago | on: Ask HN: I have no goal and I don't know what to do next

I don't know about depressed mode but I don't feel like doing anything. I don't have a teacher. I learn things myself with the help of internet. But when someone asks me to make something for them, say a computer program or a script, I feel that I wouldn't be able to do it. I just don't feel confident about anything. My situation is similiar to this [1] and this [2].

I'll try listing all my intersets and locate the things that I can do days and nights without feeling bore.

And about the organizations in India, as far as I know, they're interested in producing "quantity" and not "quality". I just can't work for a company that doesn't give a shit to quality, no matter what the work is.

Thanks for the suggestion anyway.

I uninstalled right after hearing from Mozilla [1] about the effects of AdBlock Plus on Firefox. Since, then I'm blocking things manually.

First I was using this [2] hosts file by Dan Pallock. But now I've switched to this Neocities [3] hosted site. I don't know who manages this site, but the entries are uniquely sorted from various sources, which includes entries from Dan Pallock's hosts file.

Apart from this, I use Privacy Badger [4], Self-Destructing Cookies [5], HTTPS-Everywhere [6] and Disconnect [7].
