Does anyone know of a similar breakdown for licences like GPL v2 and the like? It's a part of programming I feel like I should know more about but never took the time to look at.

They need to pay it right? Just require everyone to either show their income or look up their tax info while processing the ticket. They could also off set the cost of processing the info onto the ticket it's self.

Then why not try and make a career out of that? Become an indie game developer. Join a music label, or make your own. You don't have to do the nine to five. You can be your own boss. It just takes some work to get there.

By all means get your million and take an extended vacation. But when you get bored of that, think about the things that would be fun to persue. Good luck.

General advice:

-Get a decent monitor (not necessary, but I prefer the wide curved ones like this[0]) and increase the font size. I never went back to my 12" laptop screen after I discovered larger monitors with big font.

Specific to day time use:

-Try and avoid glare. You can place your screen in front of a large source of light and turn up the screens brightness.

Specific to night time use:

-Use applications like Redshift or f.lux to reduce blue light as much as you can.

-Reduce the brightness of your screen.

-Try and get ambiant light, such as a difuse lamp or something, behind your screen to illuminate the area surrounding your work space.

These usually work for me. Best of luck!

I think TechLead gave the best insight into this[0].

Perhaps I'm out of line here but it's worth asking yourself if you're thinking about this because the prospect of taking on responsibility seems too daunting for you. Perhaps the career you're persuing doesn't give you the sense of purpose you might want. Maybe you need to do some soul searching.

Don't dedicate the next ten years of your life to a meme. Instead why not spend that time persuing something meaningful that you love doing. There's no point in spending ten years doing something you hate just to end up doing nothing. If you want to just dick around, take a vacation. If you can't do that, then persue a job where you can.

I know I get extremely bored after about two weeks of vacationing. I can't imagine spending the rest of my life doing that.
