I have another theory, that this has already happened.

When they invented the COBOL compilers, the assembly language programmers were scared. "Now every business man can write their own code!".

Same when they invented the spreadsheet.

Same when they invented garbage collection.

Same with every new library, framework, "its just like legos"-invention.

Yes, they make it easier. But, the world then demands more software.

Sofware begets software.

Without compilers, there would be many many fewer programmers in the world.

Someday we might have the computer from the Enterprise. Then we can ask it "Give us the answer to the ultimate question about Life, the Universe, and Everything".

Teachers and Nurses appear often simply because there are a lot of them compared to all other occupations. There are, say, 100times more female teachers than female X for all other X.

Right now, every single high school has (or, should have) teachers that can teach Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Calculus.

Basic Java Programming is waaaaay easier to learn to any one of those.

We already teach 12 years of math, from 1st grade to 12th: Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, polynomials, rationals, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, sometimes probability and statistics. How much more math do you want?

Also, you do not need to know Calculus, or pre-calculus, or trigonometry, or geometry, or algebra, or pre-algebra in order to build, say an Android twitter app.

Because women are smarter. I notice that graph compares Computer Science ($50K-$150K/year), to Medical School ($150K--$1M), Law School ($120K--$1M), and Physical Sciences (???).

Women see the writing on the wall on High School: Med/Law School offer a clear career path to the upper middle class, while CS offers a muddy path at a middle class life.

They also see "rich" old Doctors and Lawyers. They have never seen a "rich" old programmer, because they don't exist. Programmers are washed out by 50, while Doctors are in their prime at 50.

Data: I am an 80's kid. All the smart girls knew to go to med/law school. All the nerdy guys like me wasted time learning 6502 assembly. We are all doing OK, but the women make 2 to 3 times as much as the men.

No, it is not. When you get older you will learn that women are people, just like you, and sometimes people just want to talk. Don't worry. Just talk to her like she was your sister or mother. After a while, it will become natural.
