I believe this happened because companies like http://www.cloudways.com/en/ are integrating Amazon cloud infrastructure smartly to build a service for application developers.

Usually, application developers are not good at server side configurations. They want something that's easy to setup and help them deploy their applications like WordPress, Magento, Drupal, Joomla etc.

Companies like Cloudways are taking away a lot of pain and giving those application developers a chance to easily setup their apps with premium support.

Don't you think that's attractive? and a business opportunity as well.

DigitalOcean is indeed one of the most promising cloud companies ever. In a very less time they have built a great reputation among developers.

People are building companies on their infrastructure. One example is Cloudways.

I strongly believe that developers and development agencies are a great market. But to market a product to them needs a little more care and expertise. Usually, marketing departments are filled with people who only knows marketing as general.

In my opinion you need to have a team of devs who can communicate to their native communities. I believe you tend to trust people who are somewhat similar to you.

What I experienced myself that NewRelic customer service is just amazing. People are so happy that they get help like a blaze.

I think user experience has become their forte. Plus, how they market Data Nerd T-shirts. Its just great because its highly relevant. Everyone wants one!

What I see is that they are providing migration for free for your 1st website that you want to move there. Configuring varnish is itself a great hassle. So, its great that its configured by the service provider. I like the console UI as well. Easy to use for the people who have less server knowledge like me.

What really marketers miss is the difference between raw data and meaningful data.

What is raw data?

Number of visits Unique Visitors Country

What's meaningful data?

Source/Medium Time spent on Intent of user Visitor journey etc.

Turning meaningful data to scale a marketing strategy is more important than anything.

For an example, if a specific blog is sending you massive traffic and the visitors are converting into subscribers and buyers.

Then you should look out for a way to add more of similar blogs to double and triple your conversions.
