I am probably about in the same spot that you are. I've been slowly working my way through this course from Andre LaMothe, I think pieces of it might be applicable for you. It's a Udemy course, so it goes on sale for ~$20ish pretty often, I think it's really well done and I've learned a lot so far.

Oh man, I hadn't seen that! Super disappointed :(

For what it's worth, I use Duolingo (the app itself) as just another way to practice at the moment but feel that most of my real progress comes with a tutor that I found through Preply and eventually started private lessons with. Group lessons were a cheap way to get some more practice in though with other speakers.

They do offer real classes done through independent teachers, they are typically group lessons, but they are at a pretty reasonable price! http://classes.duolingo.com

I don't think it's fair to ignore the instructor and class content of Peloton. I use mine because of the classes, I'm not sure I would use the bike if it weren't for the instructors and classes that I like.

Peloton did also just release a new bike that does work with Apple's GymKit too, so, I don't think it's just the metrics.

I interviewed with the team not too long ago, didn't get the role in the end but the team was lovely and the interview process was great. Would recommend giving it a shot if you're at all interested, there are some great people working there!

Nice! I recently ditched my older 15" MacBook Pro for a MacBook Air and configured the VS Code Remote Container plugin to run against a $20/mo Digital Ocean server and it's been mostly good so far!

I was so tired of my MacBook Pro's fans being constantly on and always needing to be plugged in with dev servers and VS Code extensions running. Github Workspaces look promising too, looks like the same work.
