I'm really proud of General Fusion, they're a rare Vancouver success story. And good on the Trudeau government for backing them!

I just hope that Christy Clark doesn't sabotage GF with her goal of turning mining, LNG, fracking and real estate into BC's economic engines.

Counties where abstinence-only sex ed is common lead in teen birth rates.

It's kind of like that (public) high school in the Midessa region of West Texas, the one that had an abstinence only sex-ed policy and a chlamydia outbreak. Or Mike Pence shutting down Planned Parenthood clinics in rural Indiana which led to an HIV outbreak (and Pence having to sign a needle exchange bill to limit the spread of HIV).

The vesting schedule at AMZN is 5% after 12 months, 15% in 24 months, and 20% for every 6 months thereafter. For me (SDE I), that works out to $2200 in year 1 and a projected $7000ish in year 2. MSFT, on the other hand, has their stock vests 25% after 12 months and 25% for every 12 thereafter.

Jeff Bezos will increase investment into AWS and Blue Origin, while not investing anything into improving engineer work-life balance.

Seriously, at least cover MSP and transit! Even partially covering a transit pass would be nice!
