You got this very wrong. Read up Art of War written before Jesus. Espionage is a very important chapter. Americans are rather weak academic these days. You go to any American university and see how many "Asians" there. You will find a lot of Chinese. It is common for Americans not able to speak English well or just English. It is very uncommon not to find Chinese that can read and write Chinese AND English. There are about 4x more Chinese than Americans population. You do the math, one society has more people and higher ratio of hardworking people and very educated vs Americans that twerks more on TikTok (which is an app by China....and possibly Chinese Military). Heck even westerner GoT series are written based on Chinese history. Look up war of seven princes and Cersei equivalent during Jin dynasty. Americans themselves stoled Nazi Germany tech too. USA days are very numbered (this is foretold in many Eastern prophecies even those in Russia). The great west superpower will get destroyed very similar to Atlantis (perhaps explosion of Yellowstone volcabic activities) mentioned in many of these prophecies.

homeland221 | 3 years ago | on: Was Jack Welch the greatest CEO of his day, or the worst?

You should factor in national and states debt. Vast majority of richness comes from turning debt (-ve) to positive via shifting it to national debt. For example? Let say, you owe 10K USD, government give you 10K USD and then cancel the debt a few mpnths or years later, you're now "wealthier" by 10K even if you do nothibg at all to get those 10K sent to you by IRA check. Americans now are poorer in real terms but get the facade of wealthy with borrowed money. Even if they dont ever need to pay off, their surrounding prices will i flates and catch up with their wealth and this is what is happening. When OPEC starts to shift half of petroldollar away, you will then understabd how we are now poorer.

homeland221 | 3 years ago | on: “There Seem to be 10 managers for every one dev at Twitter” – Elon

Twitter old managements are not that commercial savvy. They only introduced blue mark like a couple years back even though Twitter has been more than a decade old. Also, almost every governments and celebrities in the world has twitter. That are gold mines. Imagine USA defence department or IRA being forced to pay 1 K usd a month (this is already consider low ), if not the twit handles given to North Korea or Putin to mess with. The old twit mgmnts are rather incompetent with their pursuit of affirmative, diversity, race theory type of agenda in the last 3 years. You can see those with conservatives view largely will get suspended while liberals and lefties (some questionable middle east groups) are allowed. I doubt that attracts ads money.

homeland221 | 3 years ago | on: 'Golden parachutes' for fired Twitter executives worth $122M, research firm says

Musk is idiot. Just downgrade to basement janitor. Those golden parachutes clauses won't get triggered if they stay on or quit on their own. I've seen this played out even pay cut just to force someone out of ghe company with absolute humiliation. Then still procees to sue in multiple countries to ruin that persons financials. --- 28 years HR experiences in 7 difference industries and 4 countries.

Go look for Patrick Lancaster on Youtube since 5 years ago. And you will know you have been on the wrong side by saying false flag in Donetsk. American have been doing false flag even worst than what you imagined of Russian is doing since Teddy's time.

homeland221 | 3 years ago | on: UBI Would Likely Increase Poverty Rather Than Reduce It (2019)

UBI is just lazy form of government subsidies. The main issue here is that government is lousy at dispersing governmental aid/subsidies. Doing UBI means you save the cost of "civil servants managing subsidies" and give 100% of those subsidies to "people in need" (meaning everyone) blindly without any check and balance. What could go wrong? The entire premise of government involvement is not efficient is just false. Look at Singapore. There able to disperse subsidies extremely efficiently. The issue is USA and majority of governmental admnistrators and leaders. Few are in the long hurl, highly educated, and think long-term (several decades) like the Chinese. You get very low quality and lowly educated bureaucrats elected to high position (Canadian Justin, Zelenskyy and Joe Biden are some glaring examples while Asians have Singaporean Prime Minister able to code Sudoku in C++).

homeland221 | 3 years ago | on: Ask HN: Why corporate culture never increment your salary?

You are doing it wrong. If you want to have pay raise, the threat of leaving must be clear and present. You have to look for another job and bring over whatever secrets and IP the other site coveted as much as what you legally allow to do so. It is this very clear threat to your immediate boss that you will get you that pay raise immediately (when you resign they will have "generous" counter offer even though they deny your increment earlier). If he or she will look bad or lose their job when you're gone, you will get the pay as you deem so to save their ass not because you pity enough to really deserve it. However, it makes more sense to just jump to another company rather than going for pay increment. Statistically I reckon staying for pay increment is around 2% annually with internal cap of no more than 10% allowed for any raise under whatever exceptional reasons. It is arbitraily number that has no reality base just HR follow because it is so. Meanwhile for headhunting budget we tend to allow 30% to even 100% for the same job in the corporate (there is a range given in Mercer HR saas as guideline). So a jump to another company means easily 30% pay increase than under best increment scenario of 10%. Look at all high paying CEOs. You will find very few and rare they raise to the top in the same company. Vast majority has perfected the art of ditching company for the next. I am in HR field for over 3+ decades in multiple fields from finance to engineering to logistics. As retired HR, my advise to you is be ruthlessly disloyal. It pays. Only fools (we do use this words to describe that kind of loyal employee) stay loyal to the same company. In any company HR is not a big department. We do have internal worldwide vine to discuss this kind of employment and ben&comp things. How we work strategically setting global policies usually not that much differ from country to country or company to company (we tend to mimic each others informally). How the policies are actually implemented will differ because of localities factors. Don't feel hurt. It is just business. You are just another production cost that bosses at the top like to keep it cheap.

Those 90% is estimated enough use for 2 months+ like from Jan to early March. Winter is coming. Energy consumption from Nov to Jan can double that for normal winter. For bad winters expect triple. If it is not desperate, the head of country Germany contact like beggar asking help. Remember USA suppose to deliver LNG to Germany as well. Now USA strategic reserve dropping to 1984 level and expect to further drop so they can sustain a "cheaper price" for the coming midterm.....all I can say is winter is coming....cue GoT background music.

homeland221 | 3 years ago | on: President Putin has announced a partial mobilization in Russia

Those bad things you concluded are mostly sourced from Ukrainian MoD. Winter is coming. Mother of all recession is coming to EU and America within nezt 2-3mths. Putin is preparing for overwhelming offensive (read up WW2 Russians modus operandi and you'll understand what Putin is thinking). Chinese side has been pumping resources like manpower and factories to Putin (in return for the EU portion of energy redirected to China). Heck even financial flows as well. You are looking at extremely well play chess moves. Hard to say for that for Americans...really pathetic seeing after 20 years gotten humiliated by a bunch of goat herders. Gotten kicked out of Iraq. If you have relatives toured in those failed wars you will know the casualty count were grossly understated. The only things I'm worried is USA launching nukes (US is the only country in the world ever to use nuke against others). I'm less worried about Putin. He moved very rationally. Once those regions declared joining Russia, any offensive from Ukraine will be deemed as invading Russia. This easily can justify huge number of military response with huge Russian public backing (despite what you read in the west, I suggest you try Russian soirces or friends...you'll be very surprised how different reality over there to what you thought).

Majority of charities are inefficiently managed. Don't believe me go look up 10 charities you know of and check their finance. Sometime for every 1 dollar you donate, 70-90cts are used to pay for their admin. Humble bundle offers values that hard to get by elsewhere. I have now always donate 50% to Humble Bundle and 50% to publisher. If I wish to donate to charities, I donate directly knowing exactly which charities I donated and how those money being used. Giving money to legit business are way better than charities in vast cases. Business is sustainable. Majority are audited and offer things/services we need/want. Charities....well they offer ONLY sympathy as their product trailed by lots of questionable administration costs.

The law enforcer cannot trespass the land especially if he is not from their state. Some states also allow these out of state law enforcer to be exterminated on probable cause as well. Dox these law enforcers names and also the fair's committee. Election is coming. Everything is legal during election time including doxing.

homeland221 | 3 years ago | on: NordVPN Review

I think he meant more control of the traffic by making sure personally it won't log anything. That is high technical skillset out of reach for most users. And if you do even set that up, you will waste a lot of time maintaining. The time lost need to get compensated as he will need to pay bills...and hence he himself quit his day job and become NordVPN. Again, not many users willing to go thru that.

homeland221 | 3 years ago | on: 'Man of the Hole': Last of his tribe dies in Brazil

There is not much to learn about the man. There is no scientific advancement that he possessed that we don't. He is the last of his tribe with a language that will be doomed when he was gone. The obly person will benefited will be some socialogist doing a research on him but now he wont be able to add a paper to his name on that topic. Leave him alone is the best response from a compassionate human beings. Imagine every humans outsider massacre your clans whenever you see them, I really doubt you would love to be contacted by outsiders. Perhaps if you can offer heavenly pleasure say a mate (you or another willing partners?). Doubt so. So the OP is very positive...but the HN crowds are not as proven from this very instance.

I can tell that you will play your violin with life gusto while your Polish teacher do it with life burden. Music should be like that. So many students I saw for the past decades having achive diploma level in piano or violin or sometime both before they attend University ended up throwing away their musical gift. So sad.

homeland221 | 3 years ago | on: I'm an 18 year old developer. How do I become one of the best programmers ever?

I've seen many...so this is my advice...increase your output in software. Breed your software development especially opensource in public repositories like rabbits. Design your own programming language something like Lua scripting which is much easier to achieve wide usage than compiled one like Julia or Rust. Choose a field say AI and go real deep into it. Then you can also built your software output around it. Be shameless promoting your own...be as shameless as like Andrew Tate. Dont worry getting into FAMNG. When you're polific they will headhunt you. Focus on your output...everything elese like being the best and 10x 100x will automatically follows. Avoid hacking/cracking that is a dark path that you will be a great sith but rarely will the general public/compabies appreciate/reward you.

homeland221 | 3 years ago | on: 59% of Americans worry student loan forgiveness will make inflation worse

Assuming you have 100K, just pay 500 a month would clear it even if interest is at 5% after 36 years. Interest is fixed for student loan so it wont go up and down like current fed rates. And that is extreme. Most have loan around 30K which can pay down in 6 years at 500 per month. Most students coming out to work can easily earn 2K a month. But nearly all has no discipline. They need netflix. They need clubbing. The need vacations. They need broadband. They need the latest iPhone Samsung. Just suffer like a monk for 5 years. Eat like a monk. No sex. No clubbing. Every dollar earned is used to pay down the debt. Dont rent expensive. Rent as cheap as possible. Even if you work in Walmart for 5 years you can pay it off. Most students cant because they prioritize life indulgences over debt. And now we must reward them by paying off their debt because they cant.
