There is a strong deluge of propaganda to make people believe that there is this sudden migration surge from California and New York to Texas and Florida. But people have always been leaving CA and NY—as people are also always moving to CA and Texas all the same.

A better statistic to take into account is net migration.

It's a bit ridiculous at this stage to suppose that those supporting Trump's coup attempt are doing so in good faith.

If you are not an American, I suppose it makes sense that you are not aware of the current political climate. If you are American, then you've been deliberately ignoring the obvious.

"You want to know what this was really all about?

The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the antiwar left and black people. You understand what I'm saying? We knew we couldn't make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders, raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news.

Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did."

I frequently see people walking off of the sidewalk for a few seconds to maintain social distancing. They don't seem to have any issue doing this, as there is usually enough space between sidewalk and car lanes to not have to walk into traffic.

edit - If you need to take a walk through downtown Los Angeles or somewhere where it is physically impossible to social distance, then yes wear a mask.

It's virtue signaling.

You do not really need a mask if you are out for a walk and are maintaining social distancing. It has been proven time and time again that the main culprit is people crowding indoors without masks.

If you are downvoting, please provide evidence that wearing a mask outside while maintaining social distancing has any substantial effect.

I worked at a big tech company for a few years. The moment I knew I was done with them was when the VP of our division said, during a quarterly all-hands "...and we're very hip too. We've hired quite a number of African Americans..."

People will be quick to remind you, both overtly and implicitly, that your skin color is a political tool.
