Looks like you have to adjust your mindset (definitely not easy but probably achievable) or, if you are confident enough, to adjust your career. For example you can write articles and do workshops/lectures.
Third option (more EU one than Swiss :) would be to postpone the decision.

As a foreigner, I guess it is similar to importance of a labor in previous socialism.
Maybe there is some "The Part played by CS majoring females in the Transition from Ape to Man" on the way. Who knows :)

It is done because of data that it brings. Not because of deviances of House of Commons members.
Moreover, in western countries like UK it is quite difficult to be classified as deviant.
