I had it also. I never really made a game with it but just to try making something was great.

on: Space Engine
Space simulators have come a long way from 1985 when I first played "The Halley Project" on my Commodore 64. It was just as cool as this though (to 15yo me), even though the graphics were limited and it was only our solar system if I remember correctly.

Between slumdog millionaire and all the episodes of the amazing race that have taken place in India, it's no surprise to me.

on: CRPG Book Released
I would definitely pay $60 or more for this. This looks well written and interesting for learning about games I never played back in the day. Bard's tale and Ultima 4 were my first crpg's as a teen in the 80's using my Commodore 64 and 1541 disk drive. I only wish I had the time I had as a teenager to devote to crpg's again.

on: Why It’s So Hard to Get Solar in Florida
I had solar pool panels that did fine through hurricane Mathew in west palm beach. They are pvc and plastic I think. I was worried about them flying but they must have been engineered right as far as roof connections (plus the winds remained mostly tropical strength with a few hurricane gusts.)

While we are talking hybrids, I love my ford fusion hybrid. Looks exactly like the gas fusions and has all the same options (well besides wheels and engines). Some owners even take off the hybrid badges on theirs.

on: An Apology from America OffLine (1994)
I bought an Earthlink software box at a computer store around 1995. Then after that I used mindspring for dial-up. Never used AOL but got tons of Cd's in the mail...
