I was surprised to see that this uses React without Redux for state management. I'm aware that Redux is a separate, optional, codebase, but from how people have been talking, it seemed like just about everyone was Redux or bust.

How many production-scale projects don't use Redux? Is this more common than I'm thinking and hearing?

I had a really poor experience with Xamarin on macOS. Especially with Xamarin Studio IDE, it seemed like support was well behind Windows + VS.

From the perspective of the 10% that remain, why would they bother to stay if 90% were cut? Sounds like taking on ten times the day to day workload. In SF, it's not like they couldn't go elsewhere for work.

Competition keeps corporations consumer-centric due to the need to be the best available option. Competition creates different perspectives and solutions due to the need to innovate to survive. Competition drives people to do their best, due to human nature.
