Thanks!

There are a lot of visual changes. However, we made just as many changes under the hood to make things faster and more efficient.

Everyone gets 6 colored backgrounds to choose from for free. Among other things, Gold members get the additional Gold backgrounds and the ability to upload any image background they want.

jjg | 13 years ago | on: Introducing Trello Business Class

Joel wrote a blog post* today about the introduction of Business Class. He says:

"In the future we'll continue to add free features to Trello (there is a lot of exciting stuff in the hopper)—anything that is a common feature, useful to anyone, will be free. We’ll also continue to develop new Business Class features that help large organizations manage Trello, and we may come up with other things to sell to people who are getting a lot of value out of Trello. Trello is now down. We're simultaneously working on migrating to AWS, as well as physically moving the hardware as mentioned above.

It indicates your online status.

Green: Online and active, Yellow: Online, but inactive, Grey: Not online

When someone is online it means that they're connected to Trello, but they're not necessarily looking at the same board as you.

That long, eh?

jjg | 15 years ago | on: Ask HN: Minimalistic web design works?

Jason Fried had a quote recently about proportion in design and the space between elements of the design. Although you have a minimal number of elements in your design, their arrangement isn't in the right proportion. It's not harmonious.

There are a few other basic things that could be changed to make the site much more usable. As someone else said, don't break the back button. Ditch the scrolly boxes. You don't need them and they're unintuitive. Differentiate the links on the page from the rest of the text. Right now the navigation links are the same grey as the rest of the content. You have some red text mixed in there and it looks clickable, but it isn't.

You're off to a good start, it just needs some refinement.
