Will the MOOC content be in any way different from How to Start a Startup by Sam A. (class taught at Stanford)

Like ASquare said, it's obvious English is not your first language. If you want to keep your readers engaged and coming back, attempt to have native english speakers proofread through your writings first before publishing. You might want to look into Grammarly.com I've never used it before, but I think it might help your particular case.

I work with a team of three (remotely) and I have to say Asana and Hipchat are what keep us productive. My team uses Asana for managing tasks, planning and running meetings, project management, and so much more. Check out this link and watch the videos to see all the things you can do with Asana. https://asana.com/guide/explore/videos/get-started I've never used Basecamp so I can't speak about the differences. We use HipChat as well for team-based chat. I highly recommend it.

I'm also curious to hear the answer to this question. Last time I applied, it was only with an idea that had not yet been implemented. Now, I am waiting to see if my current idea has traction before applying to YC. I think they see traction as a very important factor in accepting you into YC. I might be wrong though.

I like your view on this. Although I would like to say that I'm not in it for the money, the truth is, many of us are in it for the money. It's that additional part of you wanting to do something great, building a product you are extremely passionate about, that far outweighs any want for money, as is in my case. I live by the philosophy that if you work hard on an idea that you're passionate about, and as you say, will create tons of value or change the world in some way, then success will definitely come knocking.

jlteran | 13 years ago | on: The Most Important Part of Your Hackathon? Your Sponsors.

I agree with martinoma, I was just at a hackathon this past weekend, and everyone signed up to have fun rather than compete for prize money/gadgets. We didn't know about the prizes until the winners were announced, nonetheless about 40-50 people showed up, and the prizes ended up being pretty cool gadgets, of which included 3 rasberry pi's. The theme of the hackathon was "Interacting with the real world." So we had to fiddle around more with hardware and less with the software. It was my first hackathon and I really enjoyed it, looking forward to attending many more in the future, primarily to have fun and meet people with similar interests.

This is amazing! I wish I had my site up and running to take advantage of your amazing service! Although I don't live in SF, it is my goal to one day get there! Would it be alright for me to e-mail you, just introducing myself so that one day in the near future you can give me tips about SEO? I'm just a college student/aspiring entrepreneur studying Computer Science at the University of Arizona.

jlteran | 13 years ago | on: It's Done I'm Shipping It

Really looking forward to seeing what it is you will be shipping tomorrow! I myself have been working on an idea for about a couple of months now, and I can relate to what your are going through! I just hope that I can ship my product pretty soon as well! Once you ship, you'll gain much more insight on your product through customer feedback, which I believe is the most valuable part of your product once you have shipped!
