It might be because it is one of the few trackers that can track laps in pools less than 14 meters. Most of the others watches don't allow that, which might be due to a difference in sensors and the way the tracking is done.

On the Nordstream explosion, Russia continued to push gas into the pipeline after the explosion. Why, if it is broken, lose that gas to kill a whole ecosystem close the Danish / Swedish exclusive zones?
Also which other country does have an interest in cutting internet cables between Europe and the US?

They plan to make the water clear enough to swim in it by 2030, so it might also be kayakable.

on: Why Dopamine Makes People More Impulsive (2016)
Dopamine Nation by Anna Lembke is also a great read on the subject. My favorite part is about why taking a cold shower feel so good afterward (your body create serotonin when it has a negative experience, and must compensate by creating dopamine after, and that dopamine is the feel good post shower feeling).

on: France bets on more nuclear power in face of Europe energy crisis
The Green party in France is as divided on this question as in Germany. The current impulse is led by the current center-right government. Germany, with the same kind of government, decided to go all in for gaz (mainly from Russia).

on: Why don’t the French celebrate Lafayette?
They are heavily politicized in their presentation of France history (for example one of the spectacle is about the christians persecutions in Rome, where the christians are the good guide, and the romans are the bad guys).
Another famous recent event is that they bought one of Joan of Arc ring, but it was mainly a nationalist move more than something important to preserve (Joan of Arc is from the east / north part of France) (for more infos: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anneaux_de_Jeanne_d%27Arc).
Overall, the parc is an entertainment place as much as a political tool, but not a lot of people are aware of it, and most of them are eating their propagande like the true story of France (due to lack of education on history mainly).

Gesaffelstein is bringing an innovative sound, Brodinski was interesting at some point. Look for Ed Banger Records, they lead a bit the French Touch.

on: Ask HN: What Lived Up to the Hype?
Maradona was always see as the star of the teams where he played, even when he was young. Plus he came from a poblacion, those ghettos in Argentina where people live with next to nothing.
Messi on the other side came from a middle class family, and had his dream of being a professional player broke as a young kid by Newells due to his height problems.
The two has different histories, and should not be compared I think., except on the football side.

But France showed repeatedly that they don't understand science, do want to listen to it, and don't want to learn from it. From the masks to the current christmas holidays who will create a 3rd wave, they proved they don't handle this virus very well.
Add to that a bit of science nationalism from the De Gaulle era, and we ended up with that app.

on: 50% – 75% of cases of Covid-19 are asymptomatic
I have similar symptoms to yours. I live in Paris and the number of cases here are exploding, but so far for me the mains symptoms are an high temperature, general tiredness and a sore throat/ dry eyes. So far so good, but each day passing I feel a bit more tired. The doctor advised me to take paracetamol every 4 hours, and to stay inside. Also here in France, they are sending SMS to any suspected case with advices and to know if the symptoms are evolving towards the worse case, which is the difficulty to breath.
