Completely agree. The help in my local walmart is horrific. I have a running joke with my g/f that I feel like my IQ drops everytime I go in Walmart. As aforementioned - Amazon makes it SO easy!

Why dont you just build something with your knowledge (a fun side project) - forget the MS and taking a code course. You can't learn the in's and out's of developing in a language without doing it.

'guarantee' is the wrong word here, more description would be 'how likely' with a response of very likely.

It seems like you are writing a book about me.
On the short: I hired some contractors through elance/odesk - this was NOT the right thing to do. They lack motivation in what you're doing.
My advice: build it yourself, no matter how long it takes.
