I would side with this.

Recently was looking for same feature (multi-room audio) and ended up buying IKEA SYMFONISK (basically sonos) speakers, that function without an issue. Only extra step is going to Sonos app to merge them and Spotify picks them up as one device , no questions asked. So technically it should be rather easy, no latency issues at all.

jthnme | 6 years ago | on: Ask HN: What’s an app that you wish you had?

Espresso Shot timer.

- I have side project that i have made physical one - to see how long you extract coffee from espresso machine . (traveldrip espresso shottimer) but i would love to make simple phone app that goes like this:

- launch app in calibration mode - allow mic to record 3x sound of machine going on (usually distinctive click), same for off.

- leave my phone on and by coffee machine when pulling espresso shots. It recognizes the sound pattern of defined click, times it till recognizes the click of turning off. what is needed - simple and sleek interface - solid real time sound recognition. machine learning to filter out chatter

dm me if you want to create it :D

Used to run pretty active online shop from Toronto - I would advise you to look into CA to US shipping services. In our case (US centric customer) it was cheaper and more transparent to ship items via 3rd party forwarder and USPS, even back to Canada. Go figure.

Tricky part that nowadays you tend to optimize your business.. so if i would host e-store, stock all my things in fulfillment center, and automate it all. I would be left with empty warehouse, and negative balance in the stripe account... also - In stripe - if you refund and mark payment as fraudulent there are no fees. If someone disputes payment later on - there is a fee.. so.. as long as you are honest.. no extra fees occur.

True - and once you are a merchant eager to sell and make a living, you really don't pay attention or maybe don't realize that money charged and received is not yours yet to keep. One thing that all users should do is enable CVC check. Believe me it is better to deal with some user complaints and manual processing then refunding fraudulent payments and screwing with your cash flow.

Actually Stripe does have anti-fraud (https://stripe.com/docs/fraud) just unfortunately it is not that great. Speaking from experience - I would pick Stripe anytime, even if they are not perfect, the simplicity to start using them (and stop, if needed) + the all-over attitude and possibilities are way better then the old-school behemoths like authorize.net or braintree.

Between 4/5 the host pre-approves you for booking (without you requesting to book) that should be the case.

Have been using AirBnB for stays since 2012 and hosting since 2014. Never had an un-requested booking.

+ Host does not have a way to charge you
