Oddly enough, I do not have access to scheduled tasks either on the app or web interfaces and I am a paying customer.

So what's stopping me from checking into r/nyu and asking a multitude people to respond?

Where is the money to be made?

What makes a freshman mentor qualified to actually talk about the breadth of a program or a career when they have little to no exposure of a full 4 year program or job-track?

There are a number of questions that aren't answered succinctly on your site (at least that 'pop-out' at me) or within your post.

Genuine question: What value proposition does your company offer? Can't I get these same questions answered from a variety of different sources?

Additionally, some of the mentor responses lack a certain level of professionalism to be called a mentor. Example: "Question: Hi I am applying to NYU this fall. I have never visited NYU before because I live all the way in California. I was wondering if you could share your experience starting at NYU? Also any background info like where you came from, how was the transition, did you have to move far, etc.? Any extra information you want to add would be rlly helpful. Thanks in advance!

Answer: Absolutely! I'm from Chicago, Originally. (not the actual city, the suburbs. Fucking Suburbia, man.) I hope it makes you feel better to know that I'd never visited NYU before actually ..."

Ask them to write instructions on how to tie their shoe.

Chances are, someone will say that they just bend over and tie them.

Point out to them that it isn't quite that simple - once they see that a problem can be broken down further to the point that you're telling your hand to put the lace against your index finger's first knuckle and the point of the middle finger, they begin to understand - then introduce your methods which they happily embrace.

I think the assertion is that Joe Public doesn't really care about his/her privacy anymore provided they consent to it's initial release.

It seems to me that over a billion people are fine giving their privacy over to Twitter/Facebook/Instagram/<insert other company> but not necessarily the Government (of any country).

Very comprehensive but some answers can be very dated.

kifler | 10 years ago | on: How Google killed my startup

Their product wasn't really revolutionary - it didn't present anything new. By their own accounts, there was nothing stopping Lynda.com from offering the exact same service (along with a multitude of other online course/video services).

Google didn't kill their startup, their own naivity did.

To echo SilasX, there was (and in most places) no way to ensure that your taxi will acctually arrive if dispatched.

Sometimes while en route to you, they'd pick up another passenger or the wrong cab would pick you up which would frustrate many of the drivers.
