on: Forget Gladwell
Despite being recommended Malcolm Gladwell's books by good friends with whom I enjoy having deep conversation; I, for the life of me can't stand reading these books. Does anyone else feel this way?
I read this a while back and it resonates with my feeling as I read, but I still can't put my finger on what it is that I dislike:

on: The Light Phone III
For me, any carrier I switch to is more expensive than my current one. So, I've been waiting for them to add the ability to change APN settings for a couple years now as my light phone sits in the box...

on: The Light Phone 3 is a little less light – but a lot more useful
The black and white OLED display will be nice! The refresh rates seemed pretty aggressive compared to other E Ink devices I have used. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to use the one I have as they haven't implemented the ability to change APN settings.

Why is nobody putting E-Ink displays in cars? I don't particularly mind the touchscreen aspect, but the screens are way too bright for driving.

> "Introversion is the state of primarily obtaining gratification from one's own mental life". There is a considerable popular literature on the benefits and drawbacks of being introverted.
This really got me thinking after recently coming across it:
"The mind is a fire to be kindled, not a vessel to be filled." ~ Plutarch

The Absent Superpower et all by Peter Zeihan. Not sure how much I agree with, but he seems to have a good handle on the topic.

In a world where a phone line was shared between multiple homes, knowing your neighbor may not only be listening, but also recording, has the potential to be much more worrisome.
