on: Giving up the iPad-only travel dream
I'm long way out of tech community talks, but I have been highly interested in ARM powered Windows laptops. They thinner, lighter, last longer on one charge and can be really powerful. Overall, they can be more efficient than the Apple devices, since you only need one. But can someone explain what happened to ARM powered x86 development? Is there some conspiracy behind the scene like how Hydrogen powered vehicle got murdered?

Whether a conspiracy or a fuck-up, the more weaknesses of democracy exposed by this virus, the more benefits the survivals will have in the long run. DT be like:"Kill all those intouchables, so I'll have another 4 years sitting on the bloody throne!"

on: Using Anki to remember what you read
Generally speaking, I don't believe reading more books helps your thinking better than going back to smaller amount of books, unless you just need the knowledge to be used for now. Memorizing is not good enough when reading a good book; it requires more time thinking than reading to grasp the essence of a good book.

Might be a good twist: it's a state sponsored DJI ads, PRC gently saves the drone industry.

on: Why Index Funds Are Like Subprime CDOs
It wouldn't hurt his reputation throwing such opinions. After bashing down index, he suggested everyone should take a look at some small caps in Japan. That wouldn't hurt either. The point of investing in index is because it saves our time and energy to try to become excellent investors(just maybe). He's selling something, obviously, he's not even trying to lay opinions.
