on: Why the Paleo Diet Is Half-Baked (2013)
Are you including indigestible carbs (fiber) as part of natural whole grain sources, fruits (pectin), oats (soluble fibers) as part of your "not particularly satiating" carbs? I spent 6 months on paleo, 12 months on keto, and 6 months cyclical keto. I have found that complex carbs have helped my training and weight loss far more than restricting carbs in general. It seems that proper carb sources are just as satiating as loading my bowels with red meat (and the outcome is vastly preferred).

4.8ghz quad core, 8gb ram, gtx 580. Firefox is consistently slower on my machine sadly (I've also got 3 script blockers/whitelists in chrome with tons of extensions and still outperforms.)

on: Why Seven Hours of Sleep Might Be Better Than Eight
I run, lift, and do heavy Colorado trails at high heartrate levels. I find exercise makes it generally more difficult to sleep. Has been a problem for years, only get real sleep on my rest days.

That was my interpretation, and the article talks about ego death. When one removes ego, it mimics "zen mind, beginner's mind" where you are more open to more ideas. In theory.

Wasn't the feature created so that it would be compatible with UDP as well?

on: Poll: Which JavaScript framework do you use (and why)?
Two of those are test files. Nothing wrong with more tests, and they seem descriptive to me. And it's a very easily testable framework, unlike some of the others in the thread.

on: Building .NET projects is a world of pain and here's how we should solve it
After 7 years of setting up ruby servers, I can't say it's ever made me homicidal. RVM and rbenv on multiple different distributions have generally all been fine. What did your distro/environment look like?

on: My Heart Bleeds for OpenSSL
Isn't Rust a newer language with a ton of recent activity? Isn't it in a different space than Node.js? I'm not following your comment.
