Sorry. I should had explained better. That company solution didn't need plugins to work. Plugins were just an addition to the solution. And the solution also works on any mobile device with JavaScript. Funny that the company solutions is called "Cobrowse".

I remember to look at Cappuccino and say - WOW, this will change everything (again). But then suddenly nothing happened. No articles, no tutorials on peers, no visible discussions, etc. Things became worst when Motorola bought 280north. That was a deal breaker for me. Uncertainty about the library future.

What is this... comparing a framework with a language? Compare Laravel with Rails, or PHP with RUBY... not RAILS.

Small drag and drop problem.... On OSX I can drag the divisor for files/texteditor OVER the option of tabs (left options)... if I drop the editor there I cannot resize the view anymore and have to restart the program.

haha, good point. Anyway I just remembered this one as soon as I saw hailpixel. I like hailpixel too, here some thoughts about it: - copy code to clipboard - edit previous selected colors

marizmelo | 13 years ago | on: Posterous will turn off on April 30

Not a surprise. I saw posterous as a better option for Tumblr, but after they create the "spaces" version I felt like lost. The original idea it was simple and worked, but after they got traction I think they lost the vision, and after twitter bought them they totally mess up. Well, good luck at twitter.

I just cited markdown as complement to git. Git is a command line tool as is SSH (don't talk about GUIS for Git, that is not the case). I never said Unix is used exclusively by extraordinary people only (Ubuntu and others are an example), but the majority of people still use Windows.

Have an Unix/Linux background makes it easier to get started because you already know what they are talking about.

My personal opinion? Windows sucks (just to be clear, that is me).

marizmelo | 13 years ago | on: Opera moves to WebKit

It was about time. Webkit is becoming the de facto browser engine. People will say that this kills competition, but competition is just good when brings better alternatives, Opera is not the case.

GitHub is fantastic if you have an UNIX/Linux background. I can understand the scary felling of someone that uses Windows on daily bases (for example) and suddenly have to work with SSH, GIT, Markdown, etc. I love GitHub but I don't think it is made for ordinary people. One day maybe it will be.

marizmelo | 13 years ago | on: I made $200K and PayPal locked my account

Sorry about what happened with you. The only why you could get the money is to had the PayPal account linked with one account in Venezuela instead of US. According with your F1 status (and mine) you cannot earn any money in US while studying, unless you get authorization from school to work out of campus (CPT), or after conclude your studies (OPT). Even under CPT/OPT you cannot earn money other from other place than the place you work on. Sorry, I wish you the best luck.
