Speaking on Myers-Brigg.

One thing I am realizing is that they put ISTJs/ESTJs in the interviewer seat. Your liked minded INTPs are all developing, not interviewing.

They don't find certain fluffy things as impressive. They like concrete, palpable information.

That's why you have to take it off to increase your chances...you'll be with your other INTPs after your hired...just have to make it through those SJs...

Intelligence/coding go hand in hand.

No matter how smart their arguments are, some coders in this "debate" unintentionally display the subtle insecurity that their special skill is coming to the masses and that fact will ultimately decrease their uniqueness, salary, and apparently...their self esteem.

If one does feel that twinge of jealousy or defensiveness, then perhaps the most progressive solution internally is to grow an identity beyond being just smart and unique and slamming less intelligent people when they try to get a nut in this World.

(Caveat: I'm as guilty as they come)

Agreed. It goes without saying that you are anything but obsequious. Much respect you for doing it for the right reasons. You both struck me as similar types for a moment - very talented curmudgeons.

I think Curtis has a very bright future and would be a great collaborator for those who see through the exterior.

You have to give him some credit that he is using this opportunity to defend Curtis and build a powerful relationship when everyone else is slamming him. People don't forget it when you defend them when few others will.

All the cycles end on the epiphany that cycles themselves don't exist. They are just pieces of an internal storyline you've been writing since childhood. The story is not optimized for your happiness, because you didn't even architect it. Try reinventing a suitable story for yourself from scratch.

Go ahead and skip the accomplishment part. Skip right to giving yourself success and happiness now. Time is the real resource at play here, so don't deplete by screwing yourself out of happiness every day instrospecting through these cycles. The only person that will/can give you what you want is you, and you have direct access to make it happen without the gauntlet you are imposing on yourself.

Or at least this is the direction I'd like to go...

Money provides a different scale of experience, but doesn't actually have an effect in the intensity of happiness. True happiness is about managing your progression so you don't become adjusted to a lifestyle, no matter the scale. Humans adjust to almost anything, as a survival mechanism. The act of experiencing the present infinite moment can always offer enough richness for a human. This is why you can live a satisfying life whether you have everything or nothing. In the end, you must have power over your consciousness. You must be prepared for any situation, so you must learn to manage what you have at a small scale in order to manage what you have at a large scale. Just like in business, flexibiity and adaptability are most important.
