Good point.

If Spotify started charging $15 instead of $9.99 I wouldn't care, I would still pay. They are simply the best music streaming service out there IMO.

I payed for Google Music for a bit a while ago and I hated it and switch to Spotify. The experience was awful. I'm also pretty sure that Google Music rips audio from Youtube in certain cases which makes the audio quality terrible.

This is problem with flex time. Companies love to advertise flex time, but when you come in at 7am and leave at 3, you get tons of looks and even the odd comment.

He mentioned he knows it isn't healthy.

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the start up world these days, due to a lot of clashing ego's. But I can respect Jason for telling it straight.

I don't think anything should be "shamed", just because it's not something you agree with. Allow people to operate however they want, it's a free country after all.

I wonder what the effects this kind of VR stuff has on the health of your eyes.

mbrzuzy | 11 years ago | on: People hate to register, some follow-up thoughts

This issue has recently come up for me too.

Out of approximately 700 registrations (Specific client, specific event), 4 called in asking where to register. The problem was that those 4 users didn't realize you had to scroll past the fold to find the registration form.

We had to optimize the site (displaying animating indicators) to let that small minority of users know that there is more content past the fold.

In this situation it's hard to argue when you're dealing with a client that sells million dollar homes, because what if one of those 4 users is a potential buyer.

I'm worried this will turn from a gaming oriented device to a general device. A device with a library of apps that require a facebook account to login and use and if you don't pay for some sort of paid version of an app have to deal with ads.

As soon as sony released information about their VR headset I was looking forward more to that one since it will be oriented around gaming.

mbrzuzy | 12 years ago | on: So someone "stole" your idea

A big part of the success of a project is the marketing and the names behind it. Someone linked me to Jelly a few days ago and I brushed it off not thinking it was that great of an idea. Then today I saw a post title "Twitter Co-Founder Biz Stone Explains The Surprising Goal Of His New Company" and thought, "oh Twitter Co-Founder? Maybe I should take a second look at this app".
