Still, not getting past the first interview is better than not getting there on the first place.
During my last job search, I was getting desperate and at one point ran my resume again some ATS scanning tools. I was getting dinged for not having verbatim buzzword slop in my resume (that matches the JD). Shit like "business solutions".

This is in a small Midwestern city. Someone ran down, but overall maybe only a little worse than other small cities I've lived.
I've been trying to find a place for over a year now. I don't have the credit, but have the income. My gf has the credit but not the income. We're basically pariahs.
