So Amazon now has 5 services to order food from: Prime Now, Prime Pantry, Amazon Fresh, Amazon Restaurants, and regular Amazon. Did I miss anything?

I can't say I'm having an easy time keeping track of which service to use for what.

This uncertainty is one of the things that drives me towards getting a CS PhD and ultimately a research position rather than becoming a software engineer. Older researchers are very common in CS-related fields, both in industry and academia.

I am feeling increasingly frustrated by product websites that assume I already know what their product is. This seems to be especially prevalent on sites of tools meant for developers.

Please, don't make me have to guess by reading your tooltips, feature blurbs, and customer quotes like they are puzzle pieces to the question of "what the hell is this thing!"

At least PaintCode is kind enough to give an overview in their documentation.

I took AP Computer Science in High School. My teacher, who sometimes served as grader for the AP exam, would often tell us of one year in which there was a large number of abysmal tests. Many students could not answer even the most basic of questions. He and the other graders noticed that all of these students were from one particular state.

It turns out that this state had required CS as a subject, but many schools did not have faculty even remotely qualified to teach it. The schools had simply stuck a random math or science teacher in the role, and these teachers had made no effort to learn the content. My teacher told us that in the coding portion of the test, these students would often just write "my teacher did not know computer science, we just sat and browsed the internet all class."
