That's just proving the point of the person that you replied to, though. If you could give a crap then you obviously care about it.

mrkipling | 8 years ago | on: Take Naps at Work

I worked for a very small startup in London that embraced napping as part of their culture, some 8 years ago. It worked wonders (provided that you napped for 15-30 minutes at a time and didn't pass out for an hour or two). We even had a dark storage room with a sofa that was the designated nap area.

Fast forward to the current day. That company no longer exists (it was acquired), but the co-founders went on to create another company that is doing very well. I made the decision to go freelance at the end of last year and as fate would have it I am currently working for the new company. Napping is still encouraged. They're one of the most productive, driven teams that I've ever had the pleasure of working for.

Napping is good.

I was actually going to say much the same, even

> I'm actually more likely to use Medium now than I was before.

Yeah, it's pretty lame. I've been reduced to carrying a coin purse (!) in my day-to-day/commute backpack containing just 20p and 10p pieces so that I'm always able to use a public toilet if I need to. Nothing worse than really needing to go but not having any change on you.

> Enjoy the moment. Relax. Observe your surroundings. It's sad seeing people who cannot deal with lack of external stimulus [...]

This is what I want to do (and will try to). It's not that I cannot deal with a lack of external stimulus though, it's just that I'm too anxious and in my own head. But now that I've reached 30 I've started caring a lot less about stuff like this and think I might be able to (for example) enjoy a meal in a restaurant on my own, or sit and have a glass of wine somewhere, if I wanted to.

mrkipling | 11 years ago | on: 3 monitors won't solve your problems

You might want to check out i3wm[1]. I know you said that you're not particularly interested in tiling WMs but it's great for multiple monitors. Thinking about it, it would be perfect for a triple monitor setup as it solves a lot of the problems you've mentioned (monolithic workspaces, moving windows to workspaces predictably, etc.) and is highly (and easily) configurable.

> It actually makes zero sense to wash the sushi down immediately with sake as it changes the flavor of what you're eating [...]

I got the impression that was the intended purpose here, though; you can enjoy the flavours separately, but in the case of the briny sushi that he was served the addition of the sake created a different flavour that was worth trying.

> do we even have them in the UK?

We do indeed, they opened their first branches a few years ago. There are now six locations in London.

I'm not really a fan of burritos but the people in my office seem to like the bowls.
