on: Molly: An Improved Signal App
I've used Molly for over a year. Overnight it lost the device registration and will not contact the servers to re-register. The backup feature also does not work which left me dead in the water for several days with no fix. I switched back to signal and had to start a new database. It was a disaster. YMMV

Discord? Decentralized?
The author is on something else.

Wasn't the model 3 supposed to be $30k? Why would they only make another vehicle only 5k less than the other one?

I have. This was before I realized it was in their cardmember agreement. The woman grabbed my cart and held onto it, preventing me from leaving with my belongings until I conjured a receipt.

on: The $55M saga of a Netflix series nobody will ever see
Funny because I'm using Spotify paid and I'm getting closer and closer to cancelling that with all the bugs and advertising. Using a web player the music just mites itself for 10 seconds at a time, skips tracks on its own. Pauses. The mobile app hits you with full screen ads and big banner ads at the top that you can't disable. It's the most annoying service I use for streaming.

No it is not. The actual definition:

Low quality article.

on: Ask HN: What companies have blown you away with their customer support?
Really... I just had the worst experience just trying to limit my sharing since my employer signed me up to a retirement account with them. No automatic prompt, had to be forwarded around and finally to a human that had to verify several things and information for me just to limit my sharing. The first call I got stuck with the phone robot and it wouldn't accept any input. The second call was 18 minutes to just get that done.

This is ridiculous, I have met several people living full time in them and not any of them do this and spend time in hotels. If anything at all they have a home base and will do domestic things at home between trips, but they all use laundromats and public showers, etc in between.

on: Ask HN: Custom domain email for professionals?
Seconding this. They have been top tier for it's primary use, hosting a professional email on my domain. Secondarily hosting the website itself is good too. Just doesn't have PHP/mysql or whatnot. Which is fine for a static page.

Headlamp. Helps immensely when working on really anything at home and especially outdoor activities. I just ordered a Fenix branded one as I've heard good things and they look like they are made well.

Not really, people despise it for other reasons. I.e. how bloated and sketchy their privacy practices are and just how invasive it is.

Literally everything you pointed out is wrong. It has the best battery life out of its competitors, it's less than half their prices, and its cooling is not a problem whatsoever. This has to be bait.

Not sure if this is a troll post. Your lead acid comment is sImPlY iNcOrReCt, and you clearly don't know the owner of the website as he is a dude who runs his YouTube channel in a very transparent way.
