I'm outside US, so yeah I'm gonna stay far away from Google Fiber as well as from Comcast. Don't worry.

No, thanks. SpyHub would be more adequate name.

I would reconsider it when I could put my own software on it, that would not require untrusted third-party accounts.

Since this is an experiment I doubt anyone reasonable participating in it would leave their work and live only on basic income. So the result is already determined - basic income doesn't change anything.

IMO to test basic income theory, it should be implemented nation-wide for unspecified period of time - with the ability to cancel it at anytime in case of when negative effects significantly outweight positive ones. When it gets cancelled it failed.

Don't say anything - they already chose what's best for them.

They left one of the bullshits camp and hopefully they will be more careful next time before they will try to associate with another.

People learn on mistakes.

Wayland also uses intrusive circular linked lists - but it doesn't need owner pointer, since that pointer can be computed from pointer to link, and offset of that link in owner structure. I wonder if doom 3 really needed it.

noodly | 11 years ago | on: Poll: Do you use an ad-blocker?

I don't use ad-blocker - instead I have disabled js on all-sites by default, and have enabled click-to-run-plugin setting (I use chromium).

Thanks to this settings, I don't see ads and don't support shit sites with static content hidden behind js-wall - like blogspot or google groups.

Do you know if ghc uses segmented stacks ?

I'm wondering, because I implemented chinese whispers in haskell and it seems to be on par with go.

Speedrun marathon raising money for Prevent Cancer Foundation.

(Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with them in any way, I just like the idea and the speedruns)

noodly | 12 years ago | on: My first project in Rails – Pastebin for Mathematicians

Yes it is, and I hope he can contribute to mathbin as it is more widely used - at least it's official pastebin in ##math channel on freenode.

I don't know if the author of mathbin is still working on it (the message on main page is old), but I think it's worth a shot ;)
