on: Ask HN: What have you created that deserves a second chance on HN?
My friend and I made a product mapping tool with Square inventory integration. We just introduced a beta for service area providers to outline their service bounds, (plumbers, lawyers, etc).

"The Mosquito: A Human History of Our Deadliest Predator" by Timothy Winegard is an excellent read on the topic of the Mosquito. I'm paraphrasing, but I think he mentions that, of all the humans that have ever lived, the mosquito accounts for half of their deaths.

Ooh! Actually, you can do this already with Slack by choosing "Direct message, mentions & keywords" under settings. Not exactly the same, but it helps.

Number 3 Drives me absolutely crazy. Bloomberg and The Verge do this as an example. I'm fine with ads, as long as they don't break the page.

Paperspace.io is pretty awesome. I've been using it for about a week now. The specs/ratio are much better over there.

on: Ask HN: Why does Apple call it the trash bin?
Ooh, I like that. Composting would imply that the data is devolving back into its original components, but the same data is not used to make new data. I guess maybe it would be clearer if we knew what was being trashed; the storage medium, or the data.
