THAT was the question people kept asking Pike at conferences. and his answer to the question is "yes, we would like to see that happen too".
and i hope Google is listening. i mentioned in many comments before, i just see it there, unlike Dart.
i am not ignoring the hard work behind Dart or anything, but it's just my feeling that i wouldn't personally move from Javascript to something that just looks like Java. Javascript to Go or Python? definitely.

many people already suggested that the idea is not novel. this implementation doesn't add what i wish we had in a modern inline content editing framework: structure.
wikis had it for a while now. [[newpage]] anyone? i am wondering how difficult it would be to take wikis out of their textareas.
the other concern is naturally security.

i was going to report that one as well.
the rendering sometimes fails too. for example, the button won't show until i click on them. and resizing the windows won't properly render the resulting windows.
firefox 8 also.
