Or pushing the 'cash for pics / videos' .. industry? further. It already exists, now it's even easier.

That does seem pretty crazy that they wouldn't just buy another domain and keep things running. My guess is it actually has nothing to do with Twitter or Trademarks. They likely ran out of capital and are giving up.

It seems to offer a convenience for the services integrating with it that wasn't possible before. If it's a nice addition for the customer then they get value out of it.

I don't quite understand the recent developments at Braintree. We were using both them and PayPal for awhile before deciding to turn out card transactions over to PayPal also as it would secure a better rate. Meanwhile BrainTree has been working to make it easier to split processing between the two. Is the end goal here to make sure you're paying the highest rate? Why wouldn't you only use PayPal?

Considering their promo video basically puts it up against a GoPro mounted to your head, I'd say they've kind of given up hoping to achieve anything greater than 'life recorder'.

Instead of attacking their product, maybe Google the benefits of standing or light walking during the day in re: to diabetes, heart disease, so forth..

A standing desk is a great way to encourage people to get up and move while they work instead of sitting 8 hours a day. And at 399 this sounds like a great solution to get more people up and about.

As someone who checks in to see what's new (and affordable) in the world of stand up desks each month I'm really looking forward to seeing how this pans out.

The disc is just storage now. You put it in, install it to the xbox, and then it activates to your Live ID. Then the disc is useless and you can give it to anyone you want. When they install it, it's not activated to their account, so they have to buy it. Owning the disc doesn't mean you own the game, you're just buying the storage and an activation at retail. Though I'm not sure how that initial activation is going to work.. will be interested to find out.

I was enjoying this viewpoint until all the f bombs. I'm just as guilty in day to day conversation but this opinion would be way stronger if it dropped the arbitrary tone. Just a thought. I hadn't thought of the marketplace effects of no fees. They're kinda stunting the growth.
