Many kids would opt to bring in a pack of ramen, crush it up, add the seasoning and eat it dry instead. Many (myself included) just wouldn’t eat to avoid the humiliation.
But, hey, at least we had that most expensive high school football stadium in the world for a time!

You might have to copy the original SYSCFG (containing stuff like mac addresses, calibration, etc) to one of the new NANDs using something like http://www.jcidtech.com/product/product-86-806.html
All the iDevices (including laptops since at least T1) use the same NAND packages. Pre-iPhone 8 / T2 devices use a BGA60 package, while NANDs in devices after that use a BGA110 package.
For example, the NAND chip found in the iFixit teardown of the 2019 16 inch (TSB4227) is explicitly listed as supported by the programmer linked above: https://i.imgur.com/06a0KEg.jpg

Well worth the 90$ for the pro version if you spend a lot of time in a hex editor.

The driver monitoring has gotten a lot better as well. If you are inattentive (based on your gaze) and don't respond the the prompts quickly, it plays a loud alarm and disables the system (until the car restarts) to prevent something like the videos of people sleeping in Teslas you see online.

My district built the most expensive high school football stadium to one up the town south of us that previously held the title, but we were using half sheets in class because they couldn't afford paper.
However, there's a lot of different school districts and you can surely find what you want. Not sure if growing up in the Bay area would've necessarily been a better experience.
pascoej | 5 years ago | on: Ask HN: How do you like developing on an M1 Mac so far?
My biggest complaint is that it doesn't warm my lap. The battery life makes up for that though.
My other computer has a 3900x and it's been getting very little use even though I'm homebound.
