The young single employee will probably not afford to live in a big city and have a short commute.

I also have the same opinion as you do. I’m also a Java programmer who develops in Python sometimes. It’s easy to start programming in Python, but Python is a lot more difficult than Java to master. The Java language is a lot smaller than Python, you can keep the whole language in your head, unlike Python.
