on: Bcachefs creator insists his custom LLM is female and 'fully conscious'
“…it appears to me to be psychosis. It’s really telling in their Reddit comment where they use words like raising an AI…”
Is this any different from people today calling their dogs and cats “my baby”? Transporting four legged animals in baby carriages, is that psychosis?

on: Show HN: Bizcardz.ai – Custom metal business cards
What is the end use of this product?
I’m a commercial printer.
I discourage clients from printing business cards. It’s an archaic form of networking. A paper based card is a waste of resources, both natural, chemical and labor.
As a pcb board even more so.
Please. If you have a mobile phone ask the person for their number and text them your info. Now you have a meaningful connection.

on: Auschwitz museum criticizes use of death camp in politics
Hold a moment.
A politician called out publicly the following phrase: “Gas chamber for President Duda and Premier Kaczynski.”
This, by any measure, is considered Hate Speech as it calls for extreme violence, ask any Jew or Pole who stayed or visited Auschwitz.
I think the fact that there had been no outrage reaction to his public demonstration of extreme violence and a call for his resignation means that people no longer remember what a great technological bathroom invention the German people developed in the early 1940s called “The Shower Chamber” which was provided free of charge to travellers exiting the trains upon arrival at Auschwitz.
Therefore, it is my opinion that this spot is a great way to reboot and restart the holocaust education of young and old people everywhere to ensure no person utters such Hateful words to another human being on earth.

on: EpubPress, turn web content into ebooks
Kindle Paperwhite continues to serve me well for ten years of daily reading. I upload pdfs, various doc formats and all my ebooks to it all the time by simply emailing the file to Amazon’s whisper service which you get automatically with the kindle purchase.
No, it is not a note-taking device although short notes for highlighted text may be done. It is a reading device. And I highly recommend it.

on: Anonymous takes .ru government websites offline
These types of internet attacks amount to nothing but advertising revenue for media companies, as mentioned by many commenters; however, they occur during war time which means they are considered a direct attack, just as if a rocket had been launched, which makes the offender state an enemy engaged in the war. Everyone must consider the risk factor of such attacks as retaliation is imminent and much more severe.
I am more than sure Putin’s army has been preparing for all scenarios for years.

on: Update on Omicron
HN folks are all pseudo, amateur, professional scientists of all fields, at least that’s what I pickup from the conversations. A true scientist, ex. Marie Skłodowska-Curie, will perform every kind of test possible to ensure he gets to the truth.
Here’s a scientific test for COVID: turn off all media, news and information sharing apps for 3-5 days, report daily your findings, continue with the test after 5 days if no abnormalities detected. Share your results with others.

What the data leak tells us about mRNA vaccine: it is manufactured in the same fashion and by the same types of executives as Boeing 737 Max 8. “Ladies and gentlemen, fasten your seatbelts and prepare for takeoff”.

on: WHO releases statement re PCR test
Can someone explain this WHO document please. I think the document says: 1) PCR test is faulty [supports inventor’s claim that it will detect anything we want it to detect] 2) medical staff to look for symptoms in order to claim positivity
If 1 above is true, than based on sound science the whole “cases” count is false because it is based on a faulty foundation. We should only be concerned with facts which in case of the current situation is the number of hospitalized patients.

on: Stanford apologizes after vaccine allocation leaves out medical residents
Here’s another algorithm screwup:
https://www.who.int/news/item/14-12-2020-who-information-not...Oh, wait, no more need for false PCR tests, we have vaccines now. Forget testing, they’re wrong anyway, everyone get in line for a dose of nothing.
The good news appearing in media recently are the high percentage of people all over the world against being vaccinated, it means the human reason algorithm is still top notch.

This is to the admin and mods:
it appears to me that my comment got removed from the conversation. Is that correct or am I simply not seeing the entire thread of comments? Or does the system automatically remove comments that get negative points? Please advise so I understand how the commenting system works. Thank you.
