Does the index contain only info I have access to? How is authentication for all the knowledge sources handled?

Well designed interface.
There might be something here if one can use this to render one's own notes? Or is this meant to render user provided content like Wikipedia?

Perhaps something to the tune of "How to customize macOS defaults" would be more appropriate then?

Tried it out, looks nice :)
Is there a quick screenshot feature? That would be really helpful for sharing analysis and storing important views.

on: Show HN: Mmap.it – personal search without context switching
I love how focused it is!
Would this work on linux in case I build it from source?
Just tried it out on my mac and seems to be a little buggy at the moment. The editor doesn't seem to reliably respond to keystrokes and the search window went blank a couple of times. I guess it needs some polish, but I like the UI a lot.

Great initiative! This should encourage more Indian/ SE Asian founders to apply, since they no longer have to think about the time spent on the arduous US visa application process - and can instead keep the focus on building their company. Kudos to YC!

on: Launch HN: JITX (YC S18) – Automating Circuit Board Design
Great demos! Are you planning to release your design software for users at some point? As a fellow roboticist and tinkerer, I think this would be a great tool to have for simple circuits such as adapters which are way too much of a pain atm.
Would be cool to see the output design integrated with an interactive simulation and inspection tool such as [1].

Is this appropriate as a Show HN?
I assume not everyone who wants to see how this works wants to actually (irrevocably) delete their account.

tl;dr, Vibration due to shouting causes measurable impact on spinning disk performance, increasing io latency.
I guess this wouldn't apply to SSD's though?

Please make this an Ask HN, with a question mark at the end,so as to not confuse other readers. Right now, it seems you're talking about an app that does this.
