I agree with you on that we don't tend to appreciate history and attempt to be aware of how long things have been around. I'm looking forward to read this too!

On that note, this post reminds me of another great book (eye-opener of sorts) that I read a while ago that takes the reader through the history of some important milestones in hardware and software https://www.amazon.com/Computer-Book-Artificial-Intelligence...

After I read this, I was surprised to learn that the concept/ideas which seem very recent because of the interest/research around it have actually been around for a long time. For instance, I learnt that "Secure Multi Party Communication" has been around since 1982, Verilog since 1984, AI Medical diagnosis since 1975.

In my opinion, the lack of geography-specific pricing makes the evaluation (tests and assignments) and certification inaccessible to a significant population. Of course, one can audit the course anytime but it’s hard to have the same level of sincerity and commitment when there’s no incentive (certification that can probably be showcased on LinkedIN or CV) or deadline based timeline for the course.

I appreciate that these courses have been made available to anyone who wants to learn, but my point is concerning the meagre completion rate.

Yes I agree, I looked up before posting this and did not find anything that's an inexpensive solution that can be used daily and unnoticeably a part of common life because of all the incidents we hear about.

The headshot is unavoidable, but given the probability I really think it would be wise to stay protected.

I believe they do keep close tabs on high profile accounts. I happened to notice it in my feed when the news hadn't broken out yet (took a couple of screenshots out of surprise too). The team quickly took all of it down as and when they were being posted. It lasted for about 10minutes or so. The hackers were adding mentions to other accounts which were immediately suspended by the folks at Twitter too.
