on: Ask HN: Can we please slow down the stories about Edward Snowden?
The same thing happened when Aaron Schwartz died, and earlier with Steve Jobs' death. It's the mark of a community that cares. Sometimes, I agree it's frustrating, but I prefer that it happens and I have the minor inconvenience, than for it not to happen at all.

on: Our misplaced obsession with simplicity
It is tempting to say that this is a roundabout way of repeating Einstein's "Make it as simple as possible, but no simpler." But in fact, it's saying "Make it no more complex than necessary," which more clearly communicates that sometimes things are not reducible to simplicity.

on: Dart is ready for the real world
I'm not convinced. After Google killed numerous projects this year, I'm a little skittish about jumping into Dart. When it has the traction of Go, I'll be more willing.
