I feel this technique could be really useful. As a developer, I am okay to carry a box instead of a laptop as this would enhance the productivity. I was actually thinking of buying the 14" screen from lenovo. This concept reminds me of Kavad which is a box with multiple fold used for story telling.

I have also scrapped all the websites from Quantcast but haven't scanned it yet.

The website is build using PHP including the crawler which works for the new websites not in the list.

For scanning multiple websites, the crawler is in Python which uses multiprocessing.

How about creating a system which is fair for both clients as well as freelancers? May be one of us here can come up with a website which is better then freelancer and other such alternatives. Few things which I am not happy with these kind of sites are they are way too complex. When I joined freelancer (formerly know as getafreelancer) it was very simple to use and had only reviews and ratings. Things were simple yet worked well.
